If we were to judge by the num ber of drummers and the tremendous big trunks that are constantly arriv ing, we would say that our merchants are prepairing for a big Fall trade, and people who want bargains must look out for their big advertisements that will appear in due time. The truth of the business is that the business men of Darlington are ex perienced, and know exactly the kind of goods that their customers will want, and when it conies to the exhibition of taste ill selecting, the Darlington merchants have a very enviable reputation. Of course it is needless to say that Darlington is the best cotton market in the Pee Dee section, and if any one does not believe thjs statement, he is perfectly welcome to cairy his cotton else where, and lose money by his lack of knowledge. He also has thirteen shoals, seven months old, that will weigh two hundred pounds each. Mr. Stewart will not be interested in the price of Western bacon next year. A Good Book.
