This .case was regarded as a test
case to try the tit'c of some two
thousand other pieces of property,
similarly wrenched from the hands
of the original owners. The people
of this section have su tie red greatly,
. and this decision destroys all present
hopes of the recovery of their pater
nal homes.
Hampton Going to Florida.
Col. J. B. Palmer has arranged a
pleasant trip for the Governor to the
"Land of Flowers." A palace car
will he fitted up specially for his com
ibrt. One apartment will be furnish
ed a.-; a bed-room, and another as a
reception or sit ting room.
He will also be furnished with a
strainer, with which ho will m ake a
j assngc up the St. John's to Indian
Liver, where he will spend a few days
fiishing and shooting in the happy
hunting grounds of the departed
Scminolos.
He will then return to Columbia,
via Charleston, which place he will
probably reach in time to engage in
ihe festivities of Washington's Birth
day.
