BESS IK A. GLOVER?
It is our sad duty to record the
death of this young lady?the only
daughter of the widow of the lato
Maj. John V. Glover. Miss Bessie
died at the residence of her mother
in this Town on Wednesday night
26th, after a protracted illness at
tended by much suffering which she
endured with remarkable fortitude.
To youth she added those graces of
person ami superior qualities of head
and heart,- which won for her the
esteem and affection of all who came
within the circle of her influence.
Her loss will be deeply felt by all
who knew her, and to many, iudeed,
be irreparable. The universal
sympathy excited by her death
attest in stronger terms than we can
write, the high place she held in the
hearts of her friends. To the widow
ed and bereaved mother and mourn
ing relatives we extend our sincere
sympathies and bid them know from
Bessie's consistent life and her
personal testimony, that their loss is
her eternal gain.
In consequence of certain misun
derstandings, the Democratic Club
failed to elect delegates to the County
Convention, on Wednesday night
lnstv Another meeting was called
for Saturday night to try it over
again, which we tiope will yield more
satisfactory results.
We were sorry to see the spirit that
manifestei itself on that occasion,
if the working men de,"iro represju ?
tation, and they are c .titled to it,
there is always a better and more
satisfactory way of arriving at the
end than by charging wrong doing
and gross irregularities on the part of
a body, organized for the mutual pro
tcctiou of its members. Wo havo
always advocated the principle of
representation to every factor mak
ing u p our population, and wo believo
every member of the club is willing
to award it; indeed, the large majori
ty of tickets voted on that occasion
proves the fact by the names placed
upon them. The great object to bo
attained is tho unitj of the party;
and we trust such a ticket will bo
elected to-night as will give entire
sat:afaotiou to every member of tho
club. Lot ench Democrat attend the
meeting, enroll his name and resolve
to act fairly and squarely by every
interest in tho community. 8 o'clock
to-night is the hour of mooting.

The Lalioratory of the System,
Ti e stomach is the luborator) of the sys
tem, in which certain mysterious processes
arc constantly going on. These result in
the production of that wonderful vivifying
agent the blood, which in a state of health
rushes laden with the elements of vitality
to the remotest parts of the system, lhi1
when the stomach in serai-paralyzed by dys
pepsia blood manufacture ia carried on im
perfectly, the circulation grows thin ami
<duggi*h, and the system sutlers in conse
quence. Moreover, indigestion reacts upon
the liver and bowels, rendering the first
sluggish and the latter constipated. The
brain also suffers by sympathy, and sick
headaches, sleeplessness and nervous symp
toms are engendered. Hosteller's Stomach
Bitters reforms this state of things, gives
permanent tone ami regularity to the .Stom
ach and its associate organs, the bowels and
liver, and ensures complete nourishment
and increased vigor of the system. It is the
must popular as well as the most efficient
anti-dyspeptic and tonic in America,
juue 15 lm
A Remarkable Result.
It makes no difference how many
Physicians, or how much medicine
you have tried, it is uow an establish
ed fact that German Syrup is the
only remedy which has giveu com
plete satisfaction in severe cases of
Luug Diseases. It is true there are
yet thousands of persons who are pre
disposed to Throat and Lung Affec
tions, Consumption, Hemorrhages,
Asthma, Severe Colds settled on the
Breast, Pneumonia, W.looping Cough,
tXrc, who have no personal knowledge
of Bosehao's German Syrup. To
such we would say that 50,000 dozen
were sold lust year without one com
plaint. Consumptives, try just one
bottle. Regular sizo 75 cents. Sold
by all Druggists in America.
Liver is King.
The Liver iff the imperial organ of the
whole human system, as ]}t controls the life
health and happiness of man. When it is
disturbed in its proper action, all kiudsof J
ailments are the natural result. The diges
tion of food, the movements of the irtand
blood, the action of the brain and nervous
system, are all immediately connected with
the workings of tho Liver. It has been
successfully proved that Green's August
Flower is unequalled in curing all persons
alllicled with Dyspepsia or Liver Com
plaint, and all tho numerous symptoms that
result from an unhealthy condition of the
Liver and Stomach. Sample bottles to try,
10 cents. Positively Bohl in all towns on
the Western Continent. Three dost? will
prove that it is just what you want.
