United States Senator from South Carolina, will accept our thanks for public docu ment sent. O ur town was visited on Thursday night last by heavy thunder, light ning, wind and rain. Sheridan while step ping from the flat form in front of. the school house last Thursday afternoon, sprand his ankle so badly that ho hus been compelled to remain in doors for a day or two, mmm-? -> I? ??? Messrs. Beeves & Sheridan are in receipt of a lot of fine cigars. For excellency of flavor and cheapness of price ihey are not to be surpassed. We know whereof we affirm, and would advise drawers of the weed to try them. Mr. Emory Inabinet, who lives seven miles from this town, nil the Bull Swamp, fell on Friday, 1st instant, in front of Mr. Cnrnelson's stoie by n stroke of puralytis. Mr. Inabinet has our best wishes lor his speedy restoration to his usual health j and strength. The young men conn eeted wiMi the Young Mens Christian Assoeiatiou have organised a debating society which will meet at their rooms on next Friday evening. The question for discussion will bo, "Should tho Lien Law be re-enacted?" We con gratulate the movers in this now effort to benefit the youth our of town, and hope it may prove a permanent success. Old John Kobineon's world renowned combined caravan is coming to town. Men, chariots and horses from every nation; and lions, elephants, tigers, camels, panthers, <&c, from every bramble.and jumble in Africa. The town is to be crammed with a living mass. Every body is to be delighted and every cent is to be spent. This interesting occasion will be Feb. 28th instant. Come one, come all und see everything for 75 cents. Mr. W. P.
