This is to say. that wo have had our Gins re
paired by Bourdine’s Gin 8aw Gumroer and find
it to be superior to the hand saw mode of sharpe
ning, it frees the saws from lint, especially when
ginning damp cotton, and adds greatly to the
sample and facilitates the gin io feeding more in
the same time over the hand file. It restores the
teeth to their original shape, making all alike, in
doing so it lengthens the tooth as much as it is
worn off at the point before needing repair again.
We would say it does all that it is claimed to do,
and would respectfully recommend our farmers
to give it % trial.

Now York, August 16, I860,
Allow me to call your attention to my
Preparation of Compound Ex
tract Buchn.
The component parts areBUCHP, LONG LEAP,
CUBEBS, JUNIPER BERRIES.
Mona or Pbkpabatiox,—Buchu, in vacuo.
Juniper Berries, by distillation, to foras a fov
Gin, Cubeba extracted by displacement with
spirits obtained from Juniper Berries; verylittler
sugar is used, and a small proportion of spirit.
It is more palatable than any now in use.
Buchu, as prepared by Druggists, is of a dark
color. It is a plant that emits its fragrance; thw
action of a flame destroys this (its active priaci,
pie) leaving a dark and glutinous decoction.
Mineds the color of the ingredients. The Buchu
in my preparation predominates; the smallest
quantity of the other ingredients nre added, to-
prevent fermentation , upon inspection, it will bo
found not to be a Tincture, os made in Pharma,
copcea, nor is it a 8yrup—and therefore can be
used in cases where fever or infiaraaticn exist,
Iu this, you have the knowledge of the ingredi-
dients and the mode of preparation.
Hoping that you will favor it with a trial, and'
that upon inspection it will meet with your ap

With a feeling of confidence.
