sent us Musquash of the season. It weighed

An Item.
A number of colored persons, led by a
captain of Mtlish, entered the bar room ol
Mr, A. J. PitnCF. ou the evening of ‘the day
we celebrate” and called for drinks, and de
ported themselves in a most unseemly man
ner. Their demand was not complied with.
After considerable ‘•demonstrations 1 they
retired to the house of “one of the most
prominent gentlemen”—in Mr. W hitteraore s
opinion—and wore treated for their gallant
but unsuccessful charge.
