The object of tho meeting was tlie* concisely
stated by the chairman. anuMhe members of both
Birds of County Commissioners b'dng present,
tejok part in the discussicn vxlrich ensued.
It was finally agreed, that but three of the
said Bridges should now receive the attention of
tKe Commissioners, DuBose's Bridge, to be
thoroughly repaired-^and Carter's and Durant’s
Bridges to be built entirety new. Sealed pro
posals for the work to be received by Chairman
of either Board of County Commissioners, until
10th October, 1869.
The 14th of October, 18C9, was appointed for
another meeting of the Board of Commissioners,
at Carter’s Bridge, to examine bids and give out
contracts.
The following “General Specifications” were
adopted, aj^ the attention of Contractors invited
thereto :
The Clerk was directed ’to publish the above
synopsis of proceedings, and to advertise notice
and specificAtions as adopted, in the Sumter and
Darlington newspapers, till 10th October, 1869.
Persons Who desire to contract for the build
ing of Bridges across Lynch’s Creek, are hereby
notified that proposals for fheVaid work should
