Respectfully, combination which has been made by several railroader, one of which is the Charleston, Sum ter and Northern. Our contem porary rightly says that the plan, when carried out, will be of great benefit to Charleston, but that city will not be the only place that will be benefitted, for Darlington will come in for her share. The idea is to give Charleston a closer connection with the great Northwest, and for this purpose the following plan will be adopted: Through trains will be run from Charles ton to Roanoke, Virginia, from whence close connection will be made with the Northwest; at Roanoke close connection will also be made for New York, giving the people of Charleston and Darlington a new route in that direction. The roads that will be used in conformity with this plan are the Charleston, Sumter and Mayor N. B.
