familiar, ' Mr. Wilmore is a uative
of Kentucky, and about twelve
years ago begun canvassing lot the
above mentioned book, having at
that time barely enough money to
purchase bis outfit. The “An'ly
sis of the Bible,” or tbe whole ot
the Old and New Testaments ars
ranged hpeordii g to subjects, bad
received tbe highest prahe ftom
the leading ilBiues ot all denomin
ations. and wherever introduced it
made warm trieuds aud euthusias
tic admirers. Mr. Wthnore’s sac-
cess was such that ho early con
ceived the idea of purchasing the
work, aud from that time until in
1883 when be became the sole own
er of the plates aud copyright ho
bent every energy to accomplish
his purpbsc. In less than nine
years, by hard work and indomita
ble perseverance, from his earninus
as s canvasser, he had purchased
and paid in full for a book that cost
him over 130,000. Under his owu-
ertfhip tbri‘Analysis”, has enjoyed
a constantly increasing sale. Up
to date neatly 600,000 copies haw
been pul^sbcd. The work is sold
exclusively by subscription through
regularly appointed canvassers,
and tbe^records show that single
canvassers have sold as high as 30
copies it) one day and 120 copies in
one week. A peculiar feature ot
Us book like that ot our common
arranged Bible, is that it never
grows old, and on account of its
great convenience and self-explana
tory arrangement it is almost in
dispensable to every household.
Being tbe standard work of its
kind, the demand for it is steadily
increasing and its sale is .therefore
unlimited. Territory that has been
canvassed once can be canvassed
the second and third time with
great success, since the first can
vass only serves to introduce the
work aud pave the way to a subs
quent canvass. Canvass rs have
found a veritable houanzt in the
second aud third canvass of terri
tory tor this unparalleled and ti ue
saving work. Mr. Wilmore being
U self-made man in every respect
has a lively sympathy for every
young mau in the South who is
striving to better himself in life.
