ED in accordance with Seciiou 3:
An Act to allow unimproved lands which
have not been on the lax books since
1876 to be listed without penalty.
Section 1. Be it eaaoted by tbe Senate
and House of Representatives of the State
of South Carotiaa, now met and sitting in
General Assembly, and by tbe authority of
tbe same. That in all oases where unim
proved land which has been upon tbe tax
hooka ainoe tbe tisoal year commencing
November 1, 1887, aud which ai* not on
the Urfeited list, shall at any time before
tbe 1st day of October, 1888^ be returned
to the Couoty Auditor for taxation, tbe
said Auditor be, and is hereby instructed,
to aseeis the same and to enter it upon tbe
duplicate of the fiscal year commencing
November 1, 1887, with tbe simple taxes
of that year.
Section 2. That all such lands as may be
returned to the Auditor for taxation be
tween the first day of October, 1888, end
the first day of October, 1889, shall be as
sessed and charged with tbe simple taxes
*f the two fleeat years commencing, re
spectively, oa the (Iret day of November,
1887, and the first day of November, 1888.
