The regular monthly meeting ofOr angeburg Grange takes place to-day, in the basement of the Prysbcteriau Church. The Order of. tho "Patrons of Husband ry" seems to be making rapid strides iu this ?State. PROTESTANT EPISCOPAL CHURCH. Divine Service will be held in this church on Sunday next, the 18th, and regularly hereafter on the Third Sunday of each month. The members of that denomination are requested to bear this in mind. ECLIPSE OF THE MOON. We learn that an eclipse of tho Moon toolc place, a little before daylight on Monday morning, the 12th inst., which was seen by many citizens?the early birds. We learn that a por tion of the lot occupied by this insightly structure is engaged to be built upon. We hope in a short time to see Market street lined with graceful houses. HORB j*aw and IESsVaRTY FAVOR. It was generally remarked, that the Solicitor (Mr. Butfc) who appeared , at our Court for the first time last week, performed his duty impartially. If so; j we may hope for better things.- There are many somethings rotten out of Den mark, and the talons of tho law will fes ten many a villain, who has been spared because he was a "party man" heretofore. Don't disappoint the public, Mr. Solici tor, but make your work, quick, sharp and decisive. THE AGRICUTURAL AND MECHANICAL ASSOCIATION. The regular quarterly meeting of the County Agricultural Society was held a.t tho Hall of the Young America Fire Engine Company, on Saturday Jost. The very important business before them, vis: organising and putting into operation the Joiut Stock Company, made it necessary that the usual discussions should be omit I ted, and the. time devoted to the above object. It was determined, however, that a picnic should be held at the Au gust meeting, to which members arc en titled to-bring their families, and such friends as they may desiro to invite.? Each member likewise, will have the privilege of bringing with him n basket (or as many as he may desiro) containing comforts .'or the inner man ; (tho destroy ing the contents of these baskets forms an important feature on such joyful occa sions?, and adds materially to the success of the same.)
