From a private conversation had
with mayor Briggmann, we learn that his
principal reason for voting against the
passage of the proposed Mhog law," was
thut he considered the financial condition
of the town tobe in no condition to war
rant the authorities in paying tho expen
ses of a senvinger cart, to keep the streets
in proper condition; which, in his opinion,
will bo necessary during tho summer
months.
As a warning to our unmarried friends

RHEUMATISM and NEUEALCfA.
In all arthritic complaints, as rhctimatiOTn,
gout, neuralgia, etc., this practice is aimost per
fect. The most intense pains are almost in
stantly relieved?enormous swellings are re
duced? It nibs wl ich have been contracted and
still for years are relaxed. Cases of twenty,
thirty and forty years'standing have been cured
by me, after all other means have failed.
A great accomplishment ii my triumph over
pain, by which 1 can often, in a few moments,

if thii syntcin did nothing more than to re

catarrh;
Stoppcd-up Head, Running of the Nose,
constant hawking and spitting,
couitant Blowing of the
Nose.
Thousands sutler from that most annoying
disagreeable complaint ? Catarrh, without
knowing what it is.
Often the Beereted mucous flowing down the
throat clogs up the lungs and lays the founda
tion for consumption.
The most skillful physicians fail to cure it.
1 cure any case of obstruction?stopped up

hail paid aurists nearly $1,000 without benelit,
have been cured by me in a few weeks at mod
erate expense.
MERCURIAL DISEASES.
Mercury, iidudiciotisly used, has Idled the
earth with wrecks of humanity. Thousands
sutler from its elicits who have been uncoil
scously drugged by their physician. It is vain
to attempt the cure of the majority of diseases
while it remains in the body.
Although I have heard of several so-called
antidotes for mercury in the human hotly, 1
have never yet seen a physician who could
eliminate it from the system.
