Less than two weeks remain
for prospective teachers who
plan to take the National Teach
er Examinations at Newberry
College on January 27, 1973,
to submit their registrations for
these tests to Educational Test
ing Service, Princeton, N. J.,
James C. Abrams, Associate
Academic Dean and Registrar,
announced. Registrations for
the examinations must be for
warded so as to reach the
Princeton Office not later than
January 4, Dean Abrams ad
vised.

from the National Teacher
Examinations, Educational Test
ing Service, Box 911, Prince
ton, New Jersey 08540.
At the one-day test session
a candidate may take the Com
mon Examinations, which in
clude tests in Professional Edu
cation and General Education,
and one of the twenty-three
which are designed to evaluate
his understanding of the sub
ject matter and methods appli
cable to the area he may be
assigned to teach.
Each candidate will receive
an Admission Ticket advising
him or the exact location of
the center to which he should
report, Abrams advised. Can
didates for the Common Exa
minations will report at 8:30
a.m. on January 27, and should
finish at approximately 12:30
p.m. he said. The Teaching Area
Examinations will begin at 1:30
p.m. and should finish at appro
ximately 4:15 p.m., according
to the time schedule for these
examinations which has been
set up by Educational Testing
Service.

cable along Highway 34 toward
Silverstreet and, also, along
Highway 219 toward Pomaria.
These additional cable facili
ties will provide service for
the continued growth that these
areas are experiencing.
The Silverstreet cable project
should be completed by Decem
ber 31 at a cost of over $78,-

on the Highway 219 project.

He received his B.S. degree
in 1972 from Clemson Univer
sity.
