DISPLAY IDEA . .. Store windows are a good source of ideas
for inexpensive home decorations for the holidays. Styrofoam is
used in this arrangement—even the mouse is fashioned from styro
foam.

Include Strong Chain
For Christmas Bicycle
Police reports the country over
reveal that after money, jewels
and a few other valuables items
bicycles, especially the scarce and
expensive 10 speed models, are
prime targets for professional
thieves.
Police advise that the best as
surance a parked bicycle will still
be there when its owners returns
is the regular use of a case hard
ened steel chain teamed with a
strong padlock.
The chain should be wound
around the bicycle frame and a
solidly planted post. For best
results the chain should be placed
well off the ground to minimize
the amount of leverage a thief
could apply to a heavy duty bolt-
cutter.
Presents That Fit
Into the Home
Christmas gifts that fill a need
in the home have various advan
tages - you don’t have to know
the size and they are likely to
outlast all others as reminders
of the giver. In addition, most
people \foant and need something
for the home.
I would like to suggest a few
suitable family type gifts for the
home; nested tables, perhaps
with glass tops, are invaluable in
any living room. A footstool - for
any room in the house, always
useful. Monogrammed bath tow
els - can’t have too many. Or
how about a folding table-tennis
table? Monogrammed doormat?
Brass boot umbrella stand?
At least you don’t have to know
shirt sizes.
The Punch Bowl
When making punch for a holi
day party, use a tube cake pan
for freezing grapefruit juice or
water tinted green with food
coloring to which you have added
red cherries and mint leaves.
When frozen, put in the punch
bowl to look like a floating
Christmas wreath.

NOW, LET’S SEE . . . Christmas, that magic day of childhood,
is filled with joy for all. For parents, it is the anticipation and
delight they see in the eyes of the child. For all it is a time of
