The Newberry Sun, Newberry, S. C., Thursday, Nov. 19, 1970—PAGE 3 berry; two brothers, Charles Schissell and Dr. Henry Schis- sell both of North Miami Beach, Fla., a sister-in-law, Miss Min nie Morris of the home and several nieces and nephews. Services were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from the Dunbar Chapel on Devine St. and burial was in the Hebrew Benenolent in Columbia. Active pallbearers were John Clary, Earl Bergen, Carl Setz- ler, Ernest Layton, Jim Todd, Eddy Brice and Morris Kurlat. Honorary pallbearers were E. B. Harmon, A. P. Boozer, Billy Brice, I. Kaplan, Howard Cook Sr., Howard Cook Jr., Joe Vigodsky, Thomas Buzhardt, Dr. R. P. Baker, Earl Franklin, Jack Chappell, George Sligh Jr., R. B. Baker. daughters, Mrs. Ray Cannon of Little Mountain and Mrs. Eu gene Shealy of Prosperity; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Mr. Frick had a deceased son, J. E. Frick, who died in 1959. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Friday from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with Rev. John D. Zeigler, Rev. Vernon Frick and Rev. Ralph Riddle conduct ing the service. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jeannie Morris Schissell, New ington County, he was a son of the late Walter Elisha and Em ma Haitiwanger Frick. He was a retired farmer, a member of St. Peter’s (Pineywoods) Luthe ran Church, and a former Coun cilman. Surviving are his wife, Nina Riddle Frick; a son, Carl R. Mr. Schissell was born and reared in New York City and was the son of the late Morris and Anna Dashowitz Schissell. He had made his home in New- First Place Winner: Charles Ruff, Newberry County 4-H, won first place in the Costume Class, which was part of the Junior Dairy Show at the South (’arolina State Fair recently. Charles had his Jersey calf dressed as Miss South Carolina and he was her escort. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Henry Ruff.
