Joel King IL. Interment was in Rosemont Cemetery. Local Women’s brother dies Bose Ethridge, 71, of 701 Calhoun St., Anderson died Sa turday. A son of the late Jiles Issac and Emma West Ethridge, he was a former member of the Lions Club. He was a member, elder and trustee of Young ARP Church and retired vice presi dent and cashier of the First National Bank of South Caro lina. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edna Magill Ethridge; a son, James J. Ethridge of Gaffney; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Ander son and Mrs. Elma Waite of Newberry; and three grandsons. Funeral services were held Sunday at McDougald’s South Chapel. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ander son. berry, and Mrs. Harvey Hunter of Prosperity and three grand sons. She was born in Newberry County, the daughter of the late Luke M. Nichols and Mrs. Ola Schumpert Nichols and was a member of St. Lukes Luthe ran Church. She is survived by one daugh ter, Mrs. Eddie (Alma) Staub of Newberry; four brothers, Benjamin C. Nichols, Dempsey Nichols, James E. Nichols, and Frank E. Nichols all of New berry; four sisters, Mrs. Allen Mrs. Jones dies at Mills Clinic Mrs. Bessie Buela Shealy Jones, 65, wife of Walter D. Jones, died early Saturday mor ning after a short illness at Mills Clinic. Mrs. Jones was born in New berry County, the daughter of the late T. Davis Shealy and Ophelia Shealy. She was a re tired employee of Kendall Com pany, Mollohon Plant, and a member of Pentecostal Holi ness Church, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Besides her husband, she is survived by seven sons, James Davis Jones, Morris L. Jones, Wally Don Jones all of New berry; Gordon E. Jones of Or lando, Fla., D. Randall Jones of Leesville, G. MacArthur Jones of Newberry, and Hugh S Jones of Little Mountain; three brothers, Orland H. Shea ly of Newberry, Leroy Shealy of Warrenville, S. C., and T. D. Shealy Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel McCarthy, Mrs. Eula Harmon and Mrs. Minnie Boyd Franklin all of Newberry, and 10 grand children.
