WALDROP COW IN
HALL OF FAME
Trinitys Sultan Linda, a re
gistered Jersey cow bred and
owned by David Waldrop of
Silverstreet, has entered the Jer
sey Hall of Fame. Hall of Fame
certificates are awarded by the
American Jersey Cattle Club to
cows on official test producing
a minimum of 20,000 lbs. milk
and-or 1,000 lbs. fat in a single
lactation of 365 days or less.
In a lactation started at five
years, three months, the South
Carolina Jersey produced 20,-
820 lbs. milk and 1,093 lbs. fat
in 340 days on twice a day
milking.
The Waldrop herd is one of
the top producing larger regis
tered Jersey herds in the nat
ion. In 1969 it averaged 10,529
lbs. milk and 540 lbs. fat on 181
records completed during the
vear.
