Nabors service Friday J. J. Nabors, 84, died Wed nesday at Newberry Memorial Hospital after a lingering ill ness. Mr. Nabors was born in Lau rens County, son of the late James Hunter and Lou Jeanes Nabors. He was a retired paint er and a member of Sharon Methodist Church of Kinards. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie McKeown Nabors, and a son, James C. Nabors of Newberry. Funeral services were con ducted Friday at Whitaker Fun eral Home by Rev. James Mc Alister. Interment was in New berry Memorial Gardens. the late Jacob O’Neal and Mol ly Lowman Long. She was a member of Summer Memorial Lutheran Church and a life member of the Lutheran Church Women. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mary L. Wise of Prosper ity; two nieces, Mrs. Hattie Wes- singer and Mrs. Kathleen Fan ning, both of Newberry; two nephews, William R. (Bill) Wise of Newberry and Clarkson Wise of Prosperity. Funeral services were con ducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Summer Memorial Lutheran Church by the Rev. Pierce Evans.
