Not far behind the two lead
ers were eight other defensive
players who accumulated ten or
more points during Saturday’s
game. Among these was Wade
Nichols who scored the Indians
only touchdown by intercepting
a pitch-out and running it in
for the score.
Senior Defensive end Dennis
Swygert has been named this
week’s Renegade by the New
berry College coaching staff. To
receive this honor Swygert col
lected 20 points by making six
individual tackles assisting on
five other tackles and recover
ing a fumble. According to the
Indian coaching staff, Swygert
played his best game of the
season Saturday night against
Lenoir Rhyne, even though he
has played well throughout the
season. •
