THE WAY TO GO
Many of you have agreed
with my thought of last week,
that the way for the Newberry
County Board of Education to
go at this point would be a re
turn to freedom of choice. I
only hope that you have ex
pressed this view to the Board
members, so they will know
how you feel.
And the time to do that is
NOW. 1 did not join th<‘ "free
dom of choice protest” just
at school opening last year be
cause the timing was poor.
The public had beer told over
and over and over again what
was going to happen to the
schools—why wait until the
last minute then put on a show
and a boycott, using our child
ren as pawns?
THIS is the time to protest
before the Board makes its
final decision as to operation
of the schools next year. This

ings. to voice opinions, to let
the Board km>w how you feel.
