Sixteen colleges and universities sent delegat ions to the organization’s 11th annual session in Columbia on December 4-7. Polk defeated Senator Joan Turbeville of Columbia college. Leslie Laudig, Newberry jun ior from Summerville is re portedly a likely appointee to a cabinet post in the new SCSSL administration. She has been secretary to the House of Rep resentatives. Larry DiBaise was acting chairman of the Newberry col lege delegation, which also in cluded Sharon Roberts, Richard Herrington, Ken Riebe and Don nie Cox. Finis Johnson, assist ant professor of political sci ence, is advisor to the delega tion. BLUE KEY GIFT—W.
