voting at Smith Motor Company at about
10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. Things were
much different some 12 hours later, as
weary and harried election managers coun
ted six different ballots of almost 600 vo
ters. The scene was repeated in most of the
50 precincts of the county, with what may
be a record vote cast in Tuesday’s election.
