V. While some communities are tip-toeing into the future, Newberry is moving ahead with giant steps; and for twenty one years State Building and Loan Association has responded to the requirements of its customers with an expanding program of financial assistance. To meet the growing needs of you and your neighbors in central South Carolina, State has joined two out standing organizations to form the state’s strongest savings and loan association. r Final approval has completed the merger of State with Standard Savings of Columbia and the Orange burg Savings and Loan Association. By combining experience and facilities, a larger association has been formed to provide a more progressive program of service for all customers. Under the direction of its present board, the staff of your office will now be able to offer greater savings opportunities and improved loan plans, with the same close personal attention and friendly cooperation.
