Mrs. James Warren Abrams of Newberry announces
the engagement of her daughter, Nancy Deree, to Mr.
Larry Wesley Smith, son of Mrs. Milton Eugene Blair
of Prosperity and the late Mr. Paul Wesley Smith. The
wedding will take place Saturday, June 8, 1968 at 4 p.m.
in Aveleigh Presbyterian Church.
The bride-elect is a 1962 graduate of Newberry High
School and a graduate of Newberry College. She is teach
ing at Thornwell High School in Clinton. The bridegroom-
elect was graduated from Mid-Carolina High School and
Newberry College. He is a student at Lutheran Theologi
cal Seminary in Columbia.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Keith Roberts of Lexington an
nounce the engagement of their daughter, Jean Carroll,
and Paul Wesley Harmon. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Harvey J. Harmon of Lexington.
Miss Roberts is a graduate of Lexington High School
and is attending Richland TEC seeking a degree as a
technical secretary.
Mr. Harmon, also a graduate of Lexington High School,
is a pre-ministerial student at the University of South
Carolina.
The wedding is planned for June 7 in the Lexington
Methodist Church.
The bride-elect is the grand-daughter of Mrs. Roy G.
Carroll and the late Mr. Carroll and the great-niece of
Miss Sallie Lee Cromer, of Newberry.
