Mr. Buzhardt was chosen to replace 'Fed Smith, who resigned to accept a position with the Creen- ville City school. (Sunphoto) Tommy Buzhardt is city finance director By DORIS A. SANDERS THE WORM TURNS In his “Viewpoint” on WRAL TV on January 4, Jesse Helms thankfully notes that the hon eymoon between the news me dia and Martin Luther King is apparently over. As you read Mr. Helms’ words about King, you might bear in mind that only a few weeks ago the SOUTHERN Presbyterians voted to send King money to aid in h:s "work”. I’m sure other denom inations have done the same. Do you like the idea of YOUR money going to the kind of man pictured below? By Jesse Helms The same news media which spent more than a dozen shame ful years in puffing Martin Luther King into a position of pompous prominence are now hopefully undertaking to con ceal their mistakes by permit ting the man to drift quietly into obscurity. Correction In this issue is published a news article concerning new postal regulations, principally concerning a 15c fee to he charged for address correction information. The Sun has been advised by Assistant Postmas ter James Counts that Post Office Department has lowered this fee to 10c. In another par- agraph of the article, it is stated that “when an address correction is requested on third class mail weighing upto si* ounces . . . ” The latter has been changed to four ounces. Because this item had already gone through our “process” be fore the changes were received, readers are asked, in reviewing the article, to substitute “10c” in lieu of 15c, and four ounces in lieu of six ounces where those figures appear. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Lang ford have moved to 1322 Pearl street to make their home.
