SNOWY LAND . . . When we think of Santa Claus, many
of us think of snow and frozen mountains. It is easy to
picture the home of Santa to be somewhat as shown above.

HOLIDAY

fumes rank high on milady’s
“want” list.
Almost as traditional as holly
and mistletoe during the yule-
tide season are perfumes. Fra
grant woods and spices were
burned as offerings to the gods
by the early pagans; perfumes
were used in the religious rites
performed by priests; kings and
emperors were annointed with
fragrant oils at their coronation;
and of course the best examples
are the gifts of frankincense and
myrrh brought to the Christ Child
