POLITICS
Thu political season is in
ih' 1 air and at this time next
week we will have a newly-
elcct-'d city council. Voting’ is
expected to lie heavy, and in
terest high as this is the first
time in the memory of most
voters i perhaps the first time)
a Republican slate of candi
dates hum appeared on a city
ballot.
With .'Lich a wide variety of
personalities on each side of
the ballot, chances are there
will he much ticket-splitting.
Or, it is possible most folks
will vote the “straight ticket"
to avoid the confusion. Anyway,
it will be interesting to see
what happens.
WHY NOT NC( ?
Several readers have inquired
recently when 1 expect to get
hack again on the topic of the
National Council of Churches.
I can assure you it isn’t be
cause my views have changed
that I haven't written about
