The appearance of Magistrate Eugene Shoaly's court
was eon.-dderably improved this week when three ladies
oerted mi a magistrate’s jury for the first time. They
were, from left, Mrs. Hetty Lou Layton, Mrs. Marian
P rad field and Mrs. Caroline Cockrell. Women have serv
ed on the circuit court juries in Xewberry for the past
several terms of court, but the first lady jurors to serve
in Xewberry were on a jury empaneled by Coroner Ceo.
