C., Thursday, June 29, 1967 Miss Inabinet is feted prior to marriage On May 10 Miss Faye Inab inet who is to be married to Mr. John David Halfacre of 1003 Johnstone street, Newber ry, and Columbia, was delight fully entertained with a sur prise shower by the women physical education majors of the University of South Caro lina in the lobby of the Gym nasium. After several contests, de«- licious refreshments consisting of assorted sandwiches, nuts, fudge brownies and London Fog were served. The refresh ment table was centered with an exquisite arrangement of pink roses in a silver bowl. There were other lively floral arrangements in the party room. The honoree received many lovely gifts which were opened and admired by all. The hostesses remembered her with a blue gown and peignoir set. On the evening of May 12, Miss Inabinet was entertained with a miscellaneous shower by Mrs. William Talmage Gainey Jr. and Miss Julie Bruce at the home of the latter of 1116 Woodrow Street, Columbia. After several games, delicious refreshments of assorted sand wiches, mints, nuts, party cakes, and punch were served the guests. The bride-elect was presented a pink rose bud corsage. She wore a coral sheath dress with black patent accessories and received many useful gifts. On the evening of May 18, Miss Inabinet was again en tertained with a bridge-shower by Mrs. Richard Price and her daughter, Jane at their home on 2403 Blossom Street, Col umbia. The bride-elect was presented a white carnation corsage. After the guests were seated at the bridge tables, they were served pound cake and vanilla ice cream. Dunng the evening assorted nuts and cokes were passed. Mrs. Theo Boliver won high score and Miss Marie Wessioger won low score. The bride elect was attired in a blue and white floral suit with a blue shell and black patent accessories. She was the recipient of many lovely gifts. Miss Inabinet was entertain ed with a luncheon on May 20 at one o’clock by Mrs. David Truluck, Mrs. Hayden Inabinet and Mrs. John Hayden Inabinet Jr. at the home of the former, 320 Highland Ave., Orange burg. On arrival the bride-el ect was presented a white glad corsage. The bride-elect wore a light blue linen sheath with white accessories. The dining table was centered with a beautiful arrangement of mixed colored flowers, ragged robins, snap dragons, and queen ann’s lace in a silver bowl. A delicious meal consisting of chicken and rice casserole, baked ham, but ter beans, English peas, heav enly hash, crab apples, pickles, hot biscuits and butter with iced tea and fruit sherbert and glorified brownies for dessert was enjoyed by the honoree, Mrs. Donald Inabinet, mother of the bride, Mrs. Walton Half acre, mother of the groom, Mrs. Belle Zeagler, maternal grand mother, Mi's. John Eargle, sis ter of the groom, Mrs. D. W. Carson, Mrs. J. M. Zeagler, aunts of the bride, Mrs. W. M. Shirer, Mrs. Paul McCravy and Mrs. W. A. Carson Jr. The honoree was presentee a pair of white embroiderec pillow cases by the hostesses. Great-Niece of Mrs. Summer is married FLORENCE—Miss Lynn Lu cille Monts and Airman 2-C Perry Jerene Lusk of Myrtle Beach Air Force Base were married at 4 p.m., June 24th. The Rev. Joseph R. Horn III performed the nuptial euchar- st at St. John’s Episcopal church, using the double-ring :eremony. Organist for the event was Miss Marcia Worrell. Special choral music was sung by the choir of St. John’s and includ ed Miss Linda M. Summer, aunt of the bride. Acolyte service was perform ed by three cousins of the bride. Ushers were Charles Richard Monts, brother of the bride, and William Adams Bell, both of Florence. Miss Martha Rioyall Lee of Cochran, Ga., cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a sky blue gown with a bell skirt and carried a nose gay of white marguerite dai sies. The bride was given in mar riage by her father, CWO Miller McCoy Monts, U. S. Army (Ret.) of Columbia. She chose for her wedding a floor length gown of bridal white silk organza and chantilly lace. It was designed with a sabrina neckline, long sleeves ending in points over the hands and fit ted bodice. The bouffant skirt swept back into a petalled- shape, chapel-length train Lace highlighted with seed pearls decorated the neckline and bodice. She carried a nose gay type arrangement of gar denias showered with gypso- philia. Immediately following the ceremony, the reception was held at the church. Greeting guests was the bride’s grand mother, Mrs. John E. Summer of Florence. She wore a tur quoise silk dress, complemented by a lavendar orchid. By her was the bride’s mother, Mrs. Ira Emerson Brown of Flor ence, dressed in an ice blue silk shantung worn with a white orchid. Assisting in the library were Miss Caroline Wellons, Mrs. Harold Brown, all of Florence, and Miss Suzi Robuck of War ner Robins, Ga., cousin of the bride. A special guest was Mrs. T. Roy Summer Sr. of Newberry, great aunt of the bride. She chose for the occasion summer pink. The guest register was kept by Mrs. S. Ray Godwin and good-byes were said to Mrs. T. Roy Summer and Mrs. Robert Yorbrough. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Perry Lusk of Kilgore, Texas. After a wed ding trip to Texas and Arkan sas, the young couple will make their home at Myrtle Beach. Miss Inabinet shower honoree On Friday evening, June 16, Mrs. J. M. Zeagler and Mrs. Terry Murray entertained Miss Inabinet with a miscellaneous shower at the home of Mrs. Zeagler. The party room was levely with arrangements of roses and dahlias. As the guests arrived wedding rings tied with net and ribbon were pinned on each one. A white camelia corsage was presented Miss Inabinet to compliment her white and blue whipped cream dress with which she wore white accessor ies. After several contests the hostesses served chicken salad on lettuce, ritz crackers, potato chips, pickfos, party cakes and iced tea. Miss Inabinet was the recip ient of many lovely gifts.
