TREE SYMBOL
The fir tree was an early reli
gious symbol in many parts of the
world. Dr Oswald Hoffman, of
radio’s The Lutheran Hour says
this was probably brought about
by the fact the fir is an evergreen
and always flourished through
each of the four seasons; thus
symbolic of a beloved God who.
was immortal.
