The editor of a Kendall publication asked our President for a Christmas Message to employees.
Mr. Marshall jotted down his first thoughts in pencil on lined paper. They were not written in
the usual “Christmas Message” form but, because they seemed to catch so much of the Christ
mas spirit, the words were printed just as he had written them.
We reprint the message here as a joyful greeting from all of us in the Kendall family.

NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS — Gloriously hectic; midnight church
service; visit to neighbors and friends; stashed-away presents; assemb
ling easy-to-put-together (?) cardboard store; few hours’ sleep — won
derment — joy — all worth while; see it repeated with grandchildren —
then we know that principles, traditions and love are handed down in the
family circle — one of the greatest hopes for expanding peace and good
will toward men in a rapidly-changing world.
