Miss Martha F. Pressly, social security district manager, said today. These evening hours are in addition to the regular 9 to 5 p.m. schedule of office hours, Monday through Friday. Miss Pressly pointed out that it is important for many people to get in touch with the district office to take advantage of the health insurance and other pro visions of the 1965 amendments to the social security program. Although most people are able to visit the office during the day, many find it impossible to do so because of employment or home responsibilities. The three major groups of peo ple who should get in touch with the social security office are the following, Miss Pressly said: 1. People who are now 65 or older but who are not entitled to social security benefits. Some of these people are eligible for ben efits but have not applied for them because they are still work ing full time. Miss Pressly em phasized that it is desirable for these people to apply now to es tablish their social security bene fit rights and to qualify for the hospital insurance protection that begins in July 1966. She empha sized that no one can lose by ap plying for benefits as soon as he reaches 65 (those who retire be tween 62 and 65 may receive cash benefits but in a permanently re duced amount. They are not eli gible for hospital insurance until they reach 65.) Many of the people 72 or older are not now getting benefits be- NO TRESPASSING — Absolutely no hunting, fishing or otherwise trespassing on property of the undersigned. They may now apply for social security benefits as early as age 60 if they wish to accept a permanently reduced amount. 3. Unmarried students 18 to 22 years of age whose social security benefits have been stopped, and students who receive social se curity benefits and are nearing age 18, and who plan to continue in school.
