older, once a year. The schedule
for the final week of the Rabies
Clinic in this county is as follows:

clinics. After the clinic, the charge

ian's office is $1.50. All dog-own

tiation last weekend. The 13 girls
representing all three college ris
ing classes introduced themselves
to their 1965-66 posts by staging
two end-of-the-year school dan
ces instead of one.
Rising senior Todd Davies of
Charlotte, N. C. heads the newly
named Social Board as chairman.
Classmate Pam Phillips of New
berry is assistant chairman. 'Both
are bginning their third straight
board terms.
Baptist girls
be recognized
May 9-15 is Girl’s Auxiliary
Focus Week in Southern Baptist
churches. During that week, the
attention of the church is focused
on GA—the missionary organiza
tion for girls nine-fifteen years of
age.
Miss Marjorie Sanders, State
GA Director, will speak at the
evening worship service &t West
End Baptist church on May 9 at
7:30 P.M. A cordial invitation to
hear Miss Sanders is extended to
other GA members, their leaders
and interested friends.

service, carrying bulletins to
shut-ins, the Associational GA

in fund drive
,Newberry College athletes will
participate in a house-to-house
fund raising campaign for mul
tiple sclerosis May 10. All funds
collected will go toward a crusade
to wipe out the paralyzing disease
which injures the spinal cord and
brain tissues.
Coach Frank McGuire associate
director of,athletics at University
of South Carolina, is the state
chairman of the “Fight For Lives
Through Sufficient Funds.” Ath
letes from over the entire nation
will participate in the campaign.
Newberry College athletes will
begin by covering the business
district, and then conduct a house-
to-iiouse canvass at 6 p.m. Hor
ace Turbeville, backfield coach and
physical education director is in
charge of the drive for Newberry.

The Spectrum, is being edited this
spring by two junior class girls.

tor. Publication of the 1965 issue
is set for mid-May.
The new editor served as art
assistant on the 1963 Spectrum
staff.

daughter of Mrs. Leila C. Phillips,
