Summer Term
Begins Monday
The Newberry College summer
session for 1962 will offer a 3-
month program of studies. The
session will consist of two terms
of approximately six weeks in
length each. The first term will
begin on June 11 and will close
with examinations on July 18. The
second term, beginning on July
19, _wi^ be colluded with gradu
ation exercises at 3:30 p. m. on
August 24. < -
This extended summer session
will enable a student to complete
the year’s work in one or two
subjects by attending both terms
and by taking the courses in se
quence. By attending three regular
college sessions and two summer
sessions, a student may earn suf
ficient credit to complete the re
quirements for a baccalaureate de
gree. Courses will be offered in
each term to enable teachers to
raise their certification •rating and
to help qualify them fcr teaching
in various fields of specialization.
Registrr.tior will begin Monday,
with classes beginning Tuesday.
Classes will meet five days a
week and on five Saturdays dur
ing the summer. July 4 will be
observed as a holiday. The class
periods will be 90 minutes in
length.
