PAGE FOUR Girl Scout Day Camp Now Open THE NEWBERRY SUN, NEWBERRY, SOUTH CAROLINA The Girl Scout Day Camp which opened Monday at Lynch’s Woods will run for two weeks, acordir.g to Miss Doris Ann Parks, camp di rector. Miss Parks announced the following personnel for the camp period: Mrs. Clara Wertz, business manager; Mrs. Frazier Lominack, nurse; Christy I^vingston,' cfafts; Judy Shealy, archery; Homer Schumpert, nature study. Unit leaders are Sinclair Kem per, Jackie Crooks, Doris Goree, and Pauline Dantzler. Unit Counselors are Marcia Kirkland, Margaret McCarrel, Nancy Hazel, Rachel Bedenbaugh, Frances King, Pam Phillips, Gail Davis, Sally Lister, Joyce Pinson, and Dottie Dubose. Activities planned for the tw'o weeks include folk dancing, sing ing, badgework, archery, volley ball, ho^se shoes, cookouts, and overnight camping. Director Parks stated Tuesday that the second week of camp is not yet filled. It begins July 4 and ends on the 8th. Those interested should call Miss Parks at 599-R. Non-Scouts who are interested in Scouting and plan to join a troop in the fall may attend the camp next. All girls attending must ! have completed the second grade. Mason Wright, 76, a resi dent of Greer, died last Monday night at a Greenville hospital following three years of declining health and a serious illness of two months.
