Cox of Aiken are receiving congratula tions upon the arrival of a six pound, 10 ounce son, George Douglas, born Thursday, July 24 at the University Hospital in Aik en. The young tot has been nam ed for his grandfather, George K. Dominick, and for his father. Mrs. Cox, the former Cynthia Dominick, and son are getting along fine and have returned to their home in Aiken from the hos pital. Stevenson and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lare- more of Georgetown were Sunday visitors in the home of Mr. Stev enson’s sister, Mrs. J. H. Ruff and Mr. Ruff. Recent Movings Mr. and Mrs. Harvey M. Jordan have moved to 1915 Glenn St. to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Windley will move to 1613 Nance St. in the house being remodeled by Mrs. Harry Hedgepath, when the remodeling is completed. Mrs. Clara Bedenbaugh and family have moved to 932 Corne lia St. in the house they recently purchased. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Thyer are now making their home at 1724 Harper St. Wheeland Grange Barbecue On 2nd The public has a cordial invita tion to attend a pork barbecue given by Wheeland Grange at Wheeland Community Center (the old Wheeland schoolhouse) Satur day, August 2nd. Serving of plates and selling of meat and hash will begin at 11 a. m. and will continue until supply is gone. There will be adult and children’s pldtes,,as well as meat and hash for sale at reasonable prices. Those who wish to buy hash are asked to bring containers. Milton Riddle and J. C. Riddle are well known for their delicious pork barbecues, and have been selected to bead the barbecue committee. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Singleterry and daughters, Ann and Margaret, of Ridgewood, N. J., who have been on a visit with relatives in Winnsboro, were dinner guests last Friday in the home of Mrs. Single terry’s aunt, Mrs. J. H. Ruff and Mr. Ruff on Glenn St Mrs. D. J. Mrs, Taylor is the former Betty Zuela Leroy of Greenwood. Surviving besides the parents are the paternal grandparents, Thomas W. Taylor of Green wood and Mrs. Lillie Mae McKin ley of Anderson— and the mater nal grandmother, Mrs. Sara Al- verson of Greenwood. Graveside services were held Thursday at.
