Harmon 'was hostess to the Literary Sorosis last Friday afternoon. Mrs. Walter Hamm, president, presided. Continuing the study “The World We Live In,” Mrs. Robert Pugh gave an interesting discus- ®ion of "The Age of Mammals,” with colored pictures illustrating the discussion. After the business session the hostess served a palatable salad plate, Christmas pudding and coffee. Curtis Pugh, of Charlotte, N. C. spent last Thursday with his mother, Mrs. R. T. Pugh. Mrs. Pugh accompanied her son home and will also visit her children in Decatur, Ga., Atlanta, Ga. and Laurens before returning home. Mrs. Austin Scott and her son spent the weekend in Athens, Ga. .Mr. Scott, who is a student at the University of Ga. accompan ied Mi's. Scott home for his Christmas vacation. Singley. Mrs. P. E. Wise and Miss Phyl lis Wise will leave Columbia Sun day, by plane, for Portsmouth, Ohio, where they will spend Christmas with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Price and their two children, Robin and Rene, of Athens, Ga., arrived Sunday to spend the Christmas holidays with Mrs. Price’s moth er, Mrs. Robert W. Pugh. Mr. and Mrs. J. D.
