Dead At Home
liurnie Willis Nichols, 71, was
found dead Sunday morning at his
farm home In the Utopia commun
ity where he lived alone.
Coroner George R. Summer
said that there would Isa no in
quest since a physician stated he
died from natural causes and there
appeared no evidence of foul play,
Mr. Nichols wa* the son of the
late Henry Luke and Mary Letllla
Niehol*. He waa a graduate of
Newberry College, class of UH)7,
and had taught school for a num
ber of years, At one time he waa
a candidate for the office of sup
erintendent of education. He was
superintendent of the West Co
lumbia School* for many years.
