Fron? that they pump by electricity thru a 10 inph underground pipe for ,4000 feet across their farm. At (500 foot intervals they have sur face outlets from this pipe. Each outlet serves .the purpose of another pond or source of water there. The big pipe leads under the highway and a good ways on the,other side. There it terminates in a 1900 foot ditch that’s 30 feet wide at the top to prevent caving, 5 feet wide at the bottom, and 9 feet deep. This ditch holds 1.400- ,000 of water and has 75 acres of level! irrigatable land around it. 12 inch main serves as over low from its far end.
