Miss Sarah Isabelle Truesdale,
daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Neil E.
Truesdale, of Newberry, became
the bride of Charles Ernest Seas-
trunk, junior, son of Rev and Mrs.
C. E. Seastrunk, senior, of West
Columbia, at 6 p. m. on November
25, in the Presbyterian church in
Bethune. The double ring cere
mony was performed by the fath
er of the bride in the preseijce of
the families and a few close
friends.
Mrs. R. E. McCaskill, organist,
and Miss Stella Bethune, great
aunt of the bride, soloist, present
ed the wedding music. Miss Be
thune sang “O Perfect Love”
(Barnby) prior to the ceremony.
During the exchange of vows “To
a Wild Rose” (MacDowell) was
softly played. After the exchange
of vows, the bridal couple knelt
while Miss Bethune sang “Seal
Us O Holy Spirit” (Meredith) and
during the bridal benediction.
Traditional wedding marches were
used for the processional and the
•recessionaJl.
The bride was given in marriage
by her uncle, iE. Z. Truesdale, Jr.
wore a weddJpg gown of white
bridal satin. The long torso fitted
bodice featured a drop shoulder
double bertha and portrait neck
line bordered with Chantilly lace.
The long fitted < slee\ es ended in
calla points over the wrists. The
full skirt, enhanced in front by
two insets of chantilly lace ended
in a chapel train. Her finger-tip
veil of bridal illusion fell from a
cap of pleated chantilly lace and
seed pearls. She carried a white
Bible topped with a purple throat
ed orchid.
Immediately after the ceremony
the couple received in the vesti
bule of the church.
During the evening the couple
left for a honeymoon in the moun
tains of North Carolina. For trav
eling. the bride changed to a light
blue flannel suit, navy shoes and
bag, white hat and gloves. She
wore for her corsage the orchid
from her Bible.

“Magistrate’s fines amounted to
$15,724.35 during the year. Out
of all fines collected, $2,966.33

Insurance and Annuity Fund in
accordance with provisions of

“The Magistrates co-operated
with us and gave helpful assist
ance during the audit.”
Sheriff
“'Hie Sheriff’s records show
fees of $255.17 for the year, all of
which were collected by the
County Treasurer.
“We were accorded courteous
cooperation by the Sheriff.
Probate Judge
Records in the office of Probate
Judge Maxcy Stone, as Master,
Public Guardian, etc. were found
in good shape, and the auditors re
ported “The Probate Judge main
tains very good records and ac
corded us very helpful assistance
during the audit.”
Superintendent of Education
“School claims were examined
In ’ detail amd were found properly
authorized and recorded. Receipts,
disbursements, and balances re
flected by the Superintendent’s
records were reconciled with the
County Treasurer’s accounts.
“Total receipts were $1,096,369.-
95 including $48,732.70 of funds
transferred. These receipts added
to the beginning balance of $113,-
403.47, aggregate $1,209,773.42.
“W?' reviewed .the accounting
system in effect and, in our opin
ion, the books and records are
well kept, and afford a readily ac-
cesible permanent record of the
transactions of the office.. We
wish to acknowledge the capable
assistance accorded us .by the
Superintendent, of Education and
his personnel, especially the ac
counting clerk.”
Board of County Commissioners
An audit of the Commissioners’
books showed an unexpended bal
ance on hand at the end of the
year of $31.62. The auditors ex
pressed “appreciation of courteous
and capable cooperation accorded
us by Messrs Shealy and Lomin-
ick.”
County Treasurer
In the office of Treasurer Ray
Dawkins, the auditors found that
“current tax collections of 94.46
per cent shown compare favorably
with 1593 current tax collections
of 94.44 percent and 94.95 per
cent for 1962.

kept in an excellent manner and
