An annual Christmas dinner par
ty for employees of Carpenters,
and other invited guests was given
by Mrs. E. A. Carpenter at her
home on Calhoun street Monday
night, December 13 at 7 o’clock.
Twenty-five employees and guests
enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner,
served buffet style. Christmas gifts
were exchanged under the beau
tifully decorated tree at the con
clusion of the dinner. The Carpen
ter home was festively decorated
for the occasion with Christmas
greens.
The table from which the dinner
was served was covered with a
linen cloth which Mrs. Carpenter
had used at an annual party elev
en years ago, at which time those
present autographed the cloth. The
names were later embroidered on
the cloth, and guests present at
the Monday night party were ask
ed to autograph the cloth so that
their signatures also might be em
broidered.
