ARTHUR EARGLE will leave this weekend for Evans, Ga., where Mr. EJargle will again be a member of the Evans City school faculty. MR. AND MRS. C. A. KAUF- MANN and Mrs. Clem* Youmans and niece, JBarbara Youmans, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Youmans, left Sunday for two week’s vacation at Ocean Drive. COUNTS and daughter, Miss Betty Jo Counts spent a few days the first of the week at “Farm and Home Week” at Clemson College. Wilson Reunion Is Held Aug. 8th. The descendents of the late H. Carter Wilson gathered at the Mt. Bethel-Gannany Community Club Center Sunday, August 8th, for their reunion. There were approximately 125 present for the occasion. The old est . descendent present was Mr. Arthur T. “Doc” Wilson of Jack sonville, Florida who is in his 86th year. There was a short business ses sion held shortly after the lunch hour. Mr. Jack Wilson ot Bates- burg, the retiring president, had charge of the session. The follow ing were elected as new officers for the ensuing year: president. Mrs. Gertie Mayes West; vice president, Mrs. Carolyn W. Living ston; secretary, Horace T. Oxner; treasurer, R. C. Wilson. Mrs. Maggie Thomasson Hart ley was re-elected historian. She will publish at an early date a history of the ancestry of the Wil son family. Connelly, who died Jeyly Monday morning at the Newberry Oouhty Memorial Hospital, were conduct ed at 10 a.m. Tuesday from the graveside in Springdale cemetery. •. Surviving, beside* hta parents, Lawrence E. and Clara Mae Morris Connelly, both native* > of New berry and now living at Aiken, are one brother, Ronald Dean Connel ly of the home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther E.
