Died Tuesday;
Services Today
Mrs. Agnes Shealy Wedaman, 63,
died late Tuesday afternoon at
the Mills Hospital in Prosperity.
She had been in ill health for the
past 18 months and was seriously
ill for the last several weeks. Mrs.
Wedaman was born and reared in
the Red Bank section of Lexing
ton County and was the daughter
of the late Isaac and (Carrie
Shirley Alewine. She made her
home in Newberry for a number of
years and for the last several
years at Pomaria. She was a mem
ber of Bethlehem Lutheran church.
Mrs. Wedaman was twice mar
ried, first to N. I. Shealy, who
died in 1935, and second to D. L.
Wedaman, Sr.
She is survived by her husband;
two daughters, Mrs. Newton Camp
bell and Mrs. Henry Longshore of
Newbery; one. stepson, D. L.
Wedaman Jr.; of Pomaria; follow
ing brothers and sisters, Lonnie
of Lexington; Earl of Lancaster;
Henry and FMrman of Columbia;
Mrs. Ernest Gable of Red Bank;
Mrs. A. H. Anderson of Michigan
City, Ind.; seven grandchildren
and a number of nieces and
nephews survive.
Funeral services were conduct
ed at 11 o’clock Thursday morn
ing from the McSwain F*uneral
Home by the Rev. M. T. Cullum
and the Rev. N. E. Truesdale. In
terment followed in the Red Bank
cemetery.
