Truman Is An

Hold the brick-bats, we're just quoting the state
ment made many times by those who know him!
The point we want to make is that it is noth
ing to his credit that he is honest—he’s supposed
to be that way. In fact we find that a great major
ity of people are honest.
If most people were not honest we would not be
in business very long. We trust people and they
have yet to let us down.
If you want to finance a car, or refinance it
and ease the payments, or, if you need money for
any other purpose we will be glad to have you con
sult us. We charge you simple bank interest and
• •
you repay us in convenient installments.
PURCELLS is the largest business of its kind in
the county and it got that way from a very small
beginning. Yes, there’s a reason and once you deal
with us you will know that reason.
Come, consult us. Chances are 99 out of 100 that
we can do business.

New Tape Makes ^Handyman* of Housew
m m o
BT EDNA BOLES
O NE of the newest trouble
shooters for the many re
pair jobs that pop up around
the. house during the sum
mer is a new plastic tape.
Waterproof and impervi
ous to oils, this tape is thin,
black and pliable. It sticks
on contact, is not affected by
prolonged sunlight or in
tense cold.
Every housewife comes up
against a pair of rubbers,
now and again, that are torn
but must see service in some
weather emergency. This
new tape provides the right
solution. And it’s equally
good for mending a leaky ice-
bag, or for insulating electric
wiring.
Because it has a rubber
like ability to litretch over
twice its length, this tape; is
fine for wrapping the han
dles of golf clubs, baseball
bats and tennis racquets. It’s
just as effective for fishing
rods, tool handles or a leaky
hose. And it turns in a top
performance in splicing lamp
Plastic tape mends a cracked
thermos top and leaves It ready
for use. Tape is waterproof.
cords, repairing rubber mats,
replacing putty around win
dows or for , stopping up
leaky water pipes.
It’s uses could make a
lengthy list. With it. any
housewife can turn into an
efficient Mrs. Fix-It, thereby
making her husband happy.
New plastic tape is waterproof and impervious to oils, acids,
longed sunlight or cold. It’s ideal for patching an icc-baj.
