FARM ADVANTAGES at-a-jlante:
1. A finer grease at every point.
2. Less danger of applying the wrong grease.
3. Quicker greasing operations.

NEWBERRY, S. C.
For Alderman Ward 1
This is George W. Martin asking for your vote and support
on September Twenty-fifth. I feel that I am qualified to serve
you as Alderman of Ward 1, by reason of my business back
ground, education, experience, and age. I have been contin
uously employed and conducted business in an administrative
capacity for twenty-four (24) years. Fifteen (15) years with
one firm and nine (9) years with the firm that I am presently
connected with as General Manager. I am 45 years of age, a
member of Central Methodist church; am / vice-chairman of
the Board of Stewarts, and chairman of the Finance Com-!
mittee, a member of Newberry Lions Club, a Mason, and a
member of the Chamber of Commerce. My entire campaign
has been conducted on the basis of my individual qualifica
tions. I promise to serve all the people of Newberry with the
same integrity, vigor, and earnestness that I have shown
since it has been my priviledge to live with you. -To promise
you more would be contradicting the very principles by.
which I live. I represent no special class and have no special
favors to promise anyone.
I stand for a sound progressive, economical, form of gov
ernment. This way I believe Newberry will grow, and go for
ward. I ask that you elect me for your Alderman from Ward
1 on September twenty-fifth. Y our vote and support will be
greatly appreciated.
I
To The People
of the City of Newberry
Four years ago you elected me your alderman of Ward Four.
During that time, I have tried to give you faithful and effec-
ient service, and I hope that you will continue to let me serve
you as Alderman. I believe that - the business of the city has
been placed on a sound basis and is in an excellent shape. The
city has a modern garbage disposal plant, and has made a
number of other needed capital improvements at no increase
in cost to the taxpayer. Although the cost of living has stead
ily increased over the last six years, the present and past
councils for many years, havenot increased the amount you
pay in taxes to the City. The City plans several pr-o j ects
which will be of great value to the city. The obtaining of nat
ural gas alone, will be of great benefit and will not cause any
increase in taxes. Plans have been made for the addition of
paved sidewalks, streets, curbs, gutters, playgrounds, and
other capital improvements in our city, and naturally, I would
like to remain in the council and help with securing these im
provements for the people of our city.
I WILL APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT, AND, IF RE
ELECTED, I WILL CONTINUE TO SERVE THE PEOPLE
OF NEWBERRY HONESTLY AND FAITHFULLY.
