audience, Sunday, December 10th
at 4:30 P.M. In Holland Hall on
the campus of Newberry College.
The Christmas story as recorded
in St. Luke’s Gospel was giv
en by President James C. Kinard,
LL.D.,LITT.D. The Newberry Col
lege Singers recently were heard
over the network of the Mutual
Broadcasting System. Many com
ments have been received from
this broadcast. The Singers are
under the direction of Milton
Moore.
Mias Dons Brubaker, pianist,
and Mr. William J. Hurt, organ
ist, opened the program with
three Christmas numbers for
piano and organ. The Newberry
College Singers were heard In
Christmas anthems and tradition
al Christmas Carols. Featured
soloists were Miss Faye Mltch-
um, of Newberry, Miss Jenny lee
Counts of Prosperity, and Miss
Doris Dominick, of Newberry.
Immediately following the Christ
mas program an Informal re
ception was held In Smeltxer
Hall for visitors and friends of
the College.
