neckline; leg-o’mutton sleeves;
fitted waistline, and full skirt.
She carried an arm bouquet of
White carnations with white
satin ribbon and wore a white
carnation in her hair. The sin
gle strand of pearls she wore
was a gift of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. R. W.
Brown, sister of the bride and
Mrs. A. D. Adams, sister-in-law
of the bride, both of Prosperi
ty; Mrs. R. R. Adams of Ells
worth, Pa., sister-in-law of the
bridegroom; (Mrs. Ben Single
tary of Charleston, sister of
the bridegroom, and Mirs. Cliff
Wates of Newberry, cousin of
the bride. Their dresses, made
on the same pattern as that of
the matron of honor, were sea-
blue satin. Three maids car
ried arm bouquets of light-
pink carnations and three car
ried dark-pink carnations, all
with matching satin ribbon.
They also wore carnations in
their hair, and single strands
of pearls.
Mrs. Smith attended the
Prosperity public schools, and
until the time of her marriage
was cashier at Adams Camp.
Mr. Smith is a graduate of
Wingate Junior college and
served for three and a half
years with the Air corps, 18
months of which were spent
overseas. He was later grad
uated from Duke university
and employed with the Good
year Tire and Rubber com
pany. He now has a position
with Adams Camp.
