Mary Wessinger was brough home Sunday from the Columbia Hospital where she had been for two weeks, fol lowing an operation for a brok en hip. She will be confined to her bed for some time. Blanton of Orangeburg spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Young. Miss Ellen Wheeler has re turned from a month’s visit with Mrs. Charles Cox in Char lotte, N. C. Mrs. L. J. Fellers spent a few days ^ast week with her son-in-law and daughter, MT. and Mrs. Fred Wise in Colum bia. (Misses Susie and Mary Lang ford spent Saturday in Colum bia with their brother, Her bert Langford and Mrs. Lang ford. Mrs. Robert W. Pugh and her little daughter, Linda and sons, Bobby and Billy, of Orchard Park, N. Y., arrived Saturday for a visit with her mother, Mrs. Cora B. Stockman. Sunday guests of Mts. E. W. Werts were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Frick and their two children, Charles and Harriette of Col umbia. Mrs. J. C. Taylor of Charles ton arrived Wednesday for a week’s visit with her sisters. Mite. J. F. Browns and Mrs. L. W. Harmon. Dr. and (Mrs.. George W. Har mon were dinner guests Fri day evening of Mr. and Mrs. John Coulter in Columbia. Miss Ophelia Connelly spent Saturday with Misses Mamie and Belle Connelly in Chapin. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Counts, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Counts, Jr., Mr. and (Mrs. Ray Ohlhues and Milss Martha Counts at tended the funeral of R. L. Courtney in Columbia Monday. Mrs. Courtney is the sister of Mlrs. H. E. Counts, Sr., and is the former Miss Elizabeth Mc- Waters, who spent her girl hood days in Prosperity.
