bia highway, next to the Chap

Mrs. C. M. Simpson of Char
lotte, N. C., who was called here
because of the death of her
mother, Mrs. Leila Wheeler, is
spending the week with her
sister, Mrs. Nancy Ward. Mrs.
Frances Boggs of St. Peters
burg, Fla., and Mrs. W. E. Pugh
and her son, Willian of Jack
sonville, also stayed over for a
short visit after the funeral.
Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Bed
enbaugh announce the birth of
a son, William Woodrow, Jr.,
on February 12. The Beden-
baughs have another son, Ros-
coe, age four.
Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Montjoy
are receiving congratulations on
the birth of a son, John Well
ington. Mrs. Montjoy and the
baby are at home from New
berry hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Perry
of Johnston are also being con
gratulated o^i the birth of a
daughter at the Newberry hos
pital. This is the Perry’s first
child.
Miss Clare Chappell visited

last Saturday.
Mrs. Cora Stockman has re
turned from a six weeks visit
with her son and daughter at
Orchard Park, N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. David Brown of
Newberry visited Mr. and Mrs.
Homer Wise Sunday.
Miss Royce Bartley spent the
weekend at her home in Saluda.
M. P. Connelly of Panama
City, Fla., and M. P. Connelly,
Jr., of the University of Geor
gia spent the weekend with re
latives in and near Prosperity.
Dr. George W. Harmon drove
over to Atlanta this week to
meet Mrs. Harmon who had
been visiting in Shreveport, La.
The couple spent several days
in Atlanta with Mrs. Harmon’s
mother, Mrs. J. D. Oxford.
