Robelot-Fellers
In a wedding marked by beau
ty and dignity Miss Marian Fel
lers became the bride of John
Cortes Robelot Sunday evening,
March 6 at 6 o’clock in the Luth
eran church of the Redeemer,
Dr. R. A. Goodman assisted by
the Rev. Paul E. Monroe, per
formed the double ring ceremony.
Southern smilax, palms, ivy
and floor baskets of gladioli and
cathedral tapers in seven-branch
ed candelabra were used in dec
orating the church.
The candles were lighted by
Lewis E. Fellers, brother of the
bride, and Keith Robert, a cou
sin.
Miss Mazie Dominick, organist,
and Miss Dorothy Smith of Ches
ter, vocalist, furnished a musical
program which included, “Love
Song” (Nevin) “My Heart At
Thy Sweet Voice” (Saint-Saenn),
“Liebestrau m” (Liett), “Be
cause”, “Ave Maria” (Schubert),
“Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life”,
“Traumeri” was played during
tlje ceremony and “The Lord’s
•ayer” (Malotte), was sung as

wedding vows. The customary
wedding marches were used.
The bride, who was given in
marriage by her brother. En
sign H. Everette Fellers, wore a
white duchess satin gown exqui
sitely fashioned with a marquis
ette yoke, outlined with seed
pearls in leaf motif with fitted
bodice coming to a point in
front and the long rounded waist
line at the back fell into a full
train. Satin covered buttons
were used down the back of the
waist. The long sleeves were
the leg o’ mutton style with the
wrist line extending into a point
over the hands. The fingertip
veil of bridal illusion fell from
I a tiara of rosepoint lace and
orange blossoms.
The bridal bouquet was made
of carnations, white iris, lace and
tulle and tied with white brocade
ribbons.
Mrs. H. Everette Fellers, sister-
in-law of the bride was matron
of honor. She wort a dress of
pink net, made with a sweetheart
neckline, a full skirt and she
carried an arm bouquet of yellow

The bridesmaids were Miss
Betty Ann Moore of Cowpens,
Mrs. Keith Roberts and Miss
Ruth Wilson of Newberry. Their
dresses were in pastel shades
made along the lines of the irla-
tron of honor, and they also car
ried arm boquets of carnations.
The bridegroom had as best
man, Thomas Henry Robelot of
Greenville.
The usher groomsmen were
James L. Pate of Charlotte;
Ralph Caldwell, Gaffney, and
Charles E. Fellers of Columbia,
brother of the bride.
Mrs. Fellers, mother of the
bride, wore a powder blue cr^pe
romaine dress with a shoulder
corsage of pink rosebuds and
carnations.
Mrs. Robelot, mother of the
bridegroom wore a periwinkle
blue dress trimmed with silver
sequins and a corsage of pink
rosebuds and carnations.
A reception was given for the
families and the out-of-town
guests immtdiately following the
ceremony by the bride’s parents
and her uncle and aunt, Mr. and
Mrs. Henry T. Fellers at the
home of the latter on Harper
street.
Mrs. Robelot, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. H. C. Fellers was grad
uated from Winthrop College
and has taught successfully in
the state. At present she is a
member of the faculty of the
city schools in Charlotte, N. C.
Mr. Robelot, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Robelot, attended the
schools in Gaffney and graduated
from Limestone College. He was
in service five years spending
most of his time in Iran. He is
assistant manager of the Liberty
Life insurance company in Char
lotte, where the couple will
make their home following a
wedding trip.
Mrs. O. W. Long and son,
Doyle will leave Saturday morn
ing for Conneticut to spend a
week in the home of Mrs.
Long’s daughter and family.
